The Food Days - Day 175 & 176

Day 176 - February 24, 2011 - David's Mom's Birthday is coming up this weekend and she was wanting a homemade burger. David and I invited them over and we made burgers, beans & fries... Super Good!

Day 175 - February 23, 2011- My first ever Homemade Cheesecake.... It had a brownie crust and an awesome filling! I messed up on of the steps and that's why it's not pretty on the top... the next one I do will be a MASTERPIECE!

My Life's Play List

I usually at some point in the day am singing something. I was thinking about songs and if I had to listen to 12 songs for the rest of my life what they would be. I like numerous songs and different types of music but if I had a "Life Play List" I think it would include the following (in no particular order)

1) Be Near - By Shane & Shane - This by far is my all time favorite song, I can listen to this song at any time and it always brings me complete joy... it's my number one worship song that usually involves tears

2) Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin - I LOVED this song when I was a little girl and to this day I can have a day from the under world and just listening to this song brightens my day. When Caroline was little she would always ask to listen to the Happy Song! This is very much my happy song!

3) We are the Reason - Avalon - FAVORITE Christmas song and close to favorite song... It puts into prospective the real reason of Christmas and life!

4) Maneater - Nelly Furtado - Yes I told you that my favorite songs are random.... This is the song that I love to listen to when working out and walking with my Ipod, I feel like Hot Stuff!

Day 168 - 174

Day 174 - February 22, 2011 - This week is Carter's last week of basketball so I had to take a picture of the girls with Memaw & Papa!

Day 173- February 21, 2011 - Happy President's Day & Happy Birthday to my Father-In-Law! I had today off and so I got a lot done around town and around the house. Mom asked if Stephanie and I could meet her at Vision Mart to pick out new glasses.... Note to self never allow Stephanie and I to go into a place with props... this is what you get! BEST PICTURE EVER!

Day 172 - February 20, 2011 - I always thought if I ever became rich I would buy Tide and Downy to wash my clothes in... I couldn't wait to the becoming rich part, so I used a sale to buy my luxurious items!

Day 171 - February 19, 2011 - David, Martin, Glenda & I were suppose to go to Dallas for the day for Martin's birthday. We got up at 5 and went to the airport at 6:30. Our flight was suppose to leave at 7:30 but Lubbock got a bad case of FOG! To make a long story short we were delayed till 11:30. Since we were going only for the day and would have to come back at 6 we canceled our tickets. David took me out still that night to Red Lobster and to our first date & engagement location... the Drive In! Perfect Night!

Day 170 - February 18, 2011 - Belle wanted to go to school so bad that she got stuck in a backpack!

Day 169 - February 17, 2011 - David wearing one of his Valentine's Gifts, his Sheldon Shirt! In honor of Big Bang coming on that night! We LOVE that show! Nerds!

Day 168 - February 16, 2011 - David and I were able to finally go out for Valentine's Day since he had 2 test at school on Monday & Tuesday. This is David with all of his gifts that his WONDERFUL wife gave him.... he is making a sad face because he knew he didn't deserve them... ha, ha!

Day 167- February 15, 2011 - David and I received a Valentine Card from our 2 year old niece Kinsley! Super Cute!

Day 166 - February 14, 2011 - Valentine's Day and the gifts from my Sweet!

Day 164 - February 12, 2011 - David has been studying hard for new tests so we took a break to have dinner, it was great for both of us!

Day 161 - February 9, 2011 - Here are the finished letters for the girl's Valentine's presents! They are going to be very cute on their wall!! I can't wait to see them in their room.

Day 160 - February 8, 2011 - I finished a frame for my bedroom! I made about 12 for other people so I thought I needed one for sure!

Day 159 - February 7, 2011 - David was studying and I thought it would be good to hang new items in our house! Here is our new wall in our bedroom!

My Love Day

When I was growing up, I never had a Valentine on Valentine's Day... looking back I know that I have the best Valentine ever so I didn't need to have years of wasted Valentines!

Here are some highlights for V-Day 2011 (there will not be date pictures in this post due to the fact that my Valentine's Date will be this coming Friday... the life of a Civil Engineer Student at Tech)

We had Caroline's Birthday on a Friday night and the next day we had more celebrating to do! Memaw bought the girls Sweet & Sassy Gift Cards so we were able to go get nails, feet & hair done! After the Sweet & Sassy day we celebrated as a family at Stephanie's House!

The 5 Hour Pajama Party

Out of all my nieces and 1 nephew, the one that is spitting image of me is my Sweet Caroline. It's almost scary how much we are alike. Example we LOVE birthdays and we plan in advance; Caroline started the planning after opening present on Christmas! She wanted to have a Birthday Week just like Aunt Brooke. If she keeps up like this she is going to be AWESOME when she grows up!!!

So Caroline wanted a slumber party but we thought when everyone goes to sleep the party is over so why not have a 5 hour party... PERFECT! We did everything and then some more: Ate Pizza, Made Jewelry, Did the Limbo, Had an Auction, Guessing Candy Games, Opened Presents, Made Individual Birthday Cakes, Watched a Movie & Listened to Taylor Swift.

I needed a nap the next day!

Out with the Old... In with the New & Old Too!

When I met David he had 2 pictures on the walls of his house.... One of the World that he LOVES (that now in the office) and a picture of Dave Matthews in the "Barley Room". Since then I have managed to make every wall my art project. David feels like the house has been thrown up on by Hobby Lobby, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond & Kirklands, but I call it HOME.

I usually go out on Saturdays with my mom and sister to shop, this Saturday I was unable to control myself and I ended up using my gift card to Hobby Lobby and later that day walked out with 3 new things to hang in the house. David has a new rule that if something goes up, something must come down... I kept the rule but made changes to it, if something goes up, then something must come down and go in a new spot... that's why I say Out with the Old and in with the New & Old too!

Guest bedroom wall... Added a new frame of pictures and moved other things around

Moved our wedding pictures into the Guest Bedroom along with the picture Lars gave me for my wedding! Love it!
