My 100th Blog...

Since this is my 100th blog since I started the Going Green Blog Journey, I thought I would make this blog special.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love kids and I think that they say the greatest things. I'm a teacher by training and even though I'm not in the classroom right now, I get kick out of kid stories! Here is a funny kid story to make your day!

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human, it was physically impossible.

The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".

The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"

The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".

Happy Birthday to a Man of Character!

When I was 7 years old I was introduce to a guy that came around with my sister! I thought that he was pretty cool because he would play sorry and eat skittles with me! As I grew up I had the chance to go with him to revivals and youth camps. I was able to see what a true minister was suppose to be like and how a husband and dad should be to their family. I'm so blessed to have Brad as my Brother-In-Law and I'm so glad that my sister said yes when I was seven, because he is a true blessing to my life!

Happy Birthday Brad! You are a great man of character and a role model of what a leader should be like! Thanks for the example you have set for me and others!

Bath Time With Barley

Everyone around us is starting their families and posting cute pictures of bath time and all that, so I thought I would show you "Bath Time" at the Green house!

Barley HATES water and so it is always a traumatic event that takes place when he has to take a bath. We have to have the treats ready to make him go through the process! :) Here are the highlights from his bath this time around:

Day 314 - 320... The Start of a New Challenge

Day 320 - July 19, 2011 - This is the day that I start another challenge. I love cookbooks and I like to cook and take on challenges so David and I are going to challenge ourselves to cook at least one new recipe each week. This way we can find some new favorites and I can get use out of all my cookbooks. Tonight I made a new crockpot recipe and gravy recipe. We will be using this recipe again for sure!

Day 319 - July 18, 2011 - HOLY COW.... PIGS MUST BE FLYING SOMEWHERE! David is holding a child! This is actually a picture of July 17th but I had to have the documentation that David held Carson.... this should be a song, David held a baby and liked it!

Day 318 - July 17, 2011 - Catherine asked Jesus into her heart and on Sunday morning she walked forward. It was a great day and I'm a proud Aunt and I am so grateful to know that I will spend eternity with all my sweet nieces and nephew.

Day 317 - July 16, 2011 - We had a lemonade benefit for Ava and Grace Peters at Murfee Elementary School. It was a great turn out and we were blessed helping this wonderful family!

Day 316 - July 15, 2011 - Brad & Steph had a rehearsal dinner and so I had the girls and Carter come over to David's parents house to swim. David made a brisket that night that was super! We also had a movie night, the kids and I watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the adults later watched Lincoln Lawyer! I liked both movies!

Day 315 - July 14, 2011 - Belle likes to clean the dishes! Too bad these dishes were clean before! J/K!

Day 314- July 13, 2011 - Cassidy and Brad were at youth camp and so one night while they were gone we wanted to go out to have dessert. We tried a new yogurt place called Nikki's and it was AWESOME! My new favorite! Try it out!

Lemonade Stand for Ava & Grace

This Saturday, June 16th at Murfee Elementary School there will be a lemonade stand in honor of Ava & Grace Peters. Come by from 12:00 - 3:00 to support this family with donations.

Day 310 - Day 313

Day 313- July 12, 2011 - My in-laws are selling their house and so in order for the realtors to come over and see the house Brooks came over to have a play date with Barley! They had the best time together! This will be the start of many play dates to come!

Day 312 - July 11, 2011 - I went to hang out with Teryn and watch the Bachelor. I couldn't help but hold Carson the whole time! He is the man!

Day 311 - July 10, 2011 - Carter performed a puppet show for our 18 month old class on Sunday! It was a great show about Moses and the Ark.... I mean Noah! :)

Day 310 - July 9, 2011 - We have bunnies. Growing up, my parents never allowed my sister and I to have pets! When dad was doing yard work he found 2 bunnies. Later that night David and I found another bunny. The grandkids played with the bunnies and were able to take one home as a pet (the ending of that story will come in a later blog). The way Dad going and, if he continues, my kids will probably get elephants in 10 years!

Day 301 - 309

Day 309 - July 8, 2011 - I woke up to a picture of this beautiful baby! The message said Good Morning Aunt Brooke! This is my newest love Demi Paige Bowen. My best friend Candice and her husband Doug welcomed Demi into the world on 7/7/11! I can't wait to get to Arkansas to hold her! Aunt Brooke loves Demi!

Day 308 - July 7, 2011 - Stephanie's car is in the shop and this is the ride that they got for the day! Brad was in sports car heaven!

Day 307 - July 6, 2011 - David was out golfing so I hung out with my sister and her family. We played nerts and here I am showing that I beat my sister by 1 point... we kept playing and she ended up beating me. I'm rescheduling our Nerts Tournament for this week! I will beat you Steph!

Day 306 - July 5, 2011 - I couldn't resist and I had to hold Carson! I have missed my Teryn and so David and I went over to talk to Teryn and hold Carson! Highlight of my day!

Day 305 - July 4, 2011 - Happy Independence Day! We had a great day celebrating our freedom! We had a family breakfast, went shopping, went swimming, had a cookout, and played outdoor games. Very blessed!

Day 304- July 3, 2011 - Catherine posing at Target! She is so precious!

Day 303- July 2, 2011 - We spent our morning at the pool and went to Cracker Barrel for dinner! What a great day!

Day 302 - July 1, 2011 - Dillards was having a great sale, so Catherine found a balloon catcher that she wanted to keep!

Day 301 - June 30, 2011 - We went out to a outdoor concert at Vintage. We were the smart ones that didn't bring chairs, a blanket, or drinks! Go Us!
