Our Bucket List When We Were Dating

I came across something really cool today. I was cleaning out some cabinets and I found the Bucket List that David and I made when we were dating. I made my list and David made his. It was really cool to see what we have been able to do that we didn't think would be possible.

Here is what we have accomplished on Bucket List in the past 4 years:

1) Go to Disney World - We went in the summer of 2010, with my sister's family

2) Go to Sea World - We went in September 2011, with David's family

3) Travel to different theme parks - We have gone to a theme park every year since we started dating

4) Go to the Mall of America - We were able to go since David's sister lives in Minnesota

5) Get Married - 2 1/2 years and counting

7) Fly a kite- David bought a kite our first year of marriage and he flew it, I watched... so this is half accomplished

8) Go on a shopping spree- David and I were given money to go on a shopping spree, anyone who knows me knows where my money went. Yes, that's correct Savings Account! It was cool to have the money to spend though!

9) Eat @ the Melting Pot - After we made this list we traveled to Dallas and had a date night at the Melting Pot. It was really good!

10) Have a career I love... after writing our bucket list I started working with Blue Ocean and I LOVE IT! I'm super blessed to work where I do and work with the people I work with!

11) Eat Sushi - I have eaten sushi ... I don't ever crave it, but I'm glad I tried it!

12) Do something for someone they can't do for themselves - This will always be on the list, I try to make a difference daily, weekly & monthly for someone. I want God's Love to shine through me, so this will always be on the list!

13) Have no debt- Even though we have our house payment, we currently have no further debt. We paid off the cars and we have no student loans! WOO HOO!

14) Go to New York City - David and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in New York City! It was so great!

15) See Wicked - While in New York we saw Wicked! We also saw Promises, Promises!

We still have some things to accomplish, but it's crazy to see that we have accomplished half our list in just 4 years! We have now decided to make a bucket list every year so we can reflect on what we have done throughout the years!

2011 - A Year in Review

I can't believe it's time for me to blog about a year in review. We have had so much happen this year. We have met new people, said goodbye to others, had a lot of family vacations, worked hard, and really enjoyed life. I tried to pick out only a couple pictures to describe the year and it's amazing to look back and see what we have done!

Thanks 2011 for a wonderful year and welcome 2012, we hope you bring more exciting and new adventures to us!

JANUARY

Kicked off the New Year in Dallas with Teryn, Vince & Matt. Great start to 2011!

Basketball season started... GO CARTER!

We went to see the #1 Basketball Team Kansas play Tech on a snowy night in Lubbock

Catherine was Kindergartner of the Year for Cooper West

APRIL

Our friends the Power Family welcomed Kaylor into the world!

Stephanie left the mini-van stage of her life!

MAY

Grandma came to Lubbock for Mother's Day. It was a great time to have her, and she is planning on coming again in 2012!

Barley celebrated his 5th birthday! We threw him a party and everything!

We got new hardwood floors for our living room

We celebrated our Anniversary in Dallas and went to Del Frisco's

JUNE

Girls Weekend 2011 at the Gaylord in Grapevine, TX. We shopped, played, ate and had a wonderful time! I love my girls!

Cassidy is a teenager! She turned 13!

Carson Grey is here! Teryn & Vince had their little boy!

JULY

We had bunnies for a day!

Catherine asked Jesus into her heart!

David finally held a newborn for the first time in his life

Brad celebrated his 38th birthday

AUGUST

We went to Dallas for a long weekend and David lost his phone on the Texas Giant! RIP IPhone!

SEPTEMBER

We went to San Antonio with David's Family! Kinsley and I were buddies!

I met Demi Paige for the first time!

We celebrated birthdays with friends!

Catherine was baptized

Ashleigh told us that she was pregnant!!!! Drake Charles will be here in May.

I turned 26... I'm in the OLD 20s now

OCTOBER

Leightyn turned 1

4 Cs weekend... I watched the kids when Steph & Brad traveled to Arkansas

Stephanie's 40th Birthday!!!

My first Christmas Dinner to throw for the Women's Ministry we had over 65 women there. It was a GREAT night for our women!

New Year's Eve!

This year our New Year's plans were a little different than last year's plans. Last year we celebrated in Dallas with our friends Teryn, Vince & Matt. This year we celebrated with Teryn and Vince but it wasn't in Dallas it was in Lubbock, with a special person Carson. It was a lot different than going to Ruth's Chris and staying up till 1 in the morning, but it was just as special. We had a nice dinner together, played cards and dominoes, and then we rang in the New Year in New York time at 11. We are getting older but I realized that New Year's is special in the different chapters of your life. I loved both celebrations because it was the people I was with that made it a great night!

Our Christmas 2011

This Christmas by far was my favorite Christmas of all time. It was great spending time with my wonderful family. I will always remember this holiday because it was so special to me. I was able to see how truly blessed I am and how much I have to be thankful for. I love Christmas and I love the life I have been giving to live!
