Christmas Eve 2011

This December seemed to go by so fast! I blinked and it was our annual Christmas Eve evening. This year we had our annual Christmas Eve Service, Mexican Stack Up Meal, Birthday Cake for Jesus, Gift exchange, and we added Bingo in this year. The boys (Brad & David) weren't much into Bingo this year so I don't know if this tradition will stay!

We had a wonderful time as a family, and here are some highlights from Christmas Eve 2011:

Slumber Party at the Green's House

This past weekend we had the 4 Cs spend the night at our house. We had a great night cooking, playing games, going to bahama bucks, and watching OU football!

It was a great night! David and I are lucky to have such wonderful nieces and a nephew!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is a special day, it's the birthday of one of the greatest people I know! Today is my Dad's birthday! He is an awesome example of a servant! I have never met someone in my life who is as giving as my dad! He is a wonderful support to me and my family!

Dad we love you very much and I'm thankful that God chose me to be your daughter!

Happy Birthday!

Family Pictures 2011

When I was growing up my Uncle Jerry was a photographer and he used to take family pictures for us like every 2-4 years. When I moved to Lubbock I wanted our family to have another family picture. We were SO BLESSED to have met Heather Witt! She is a FABULOUS photographer and a great person, and we have been super blessed to have her take our family pictures for 3 years!

Here are the highlights from 2011:

Christmas at Grandma's

When my Mom's Dad was alive he LOVED Christmas. He would order goodies to eat every year and when we would open presents he would also have his gifts unwrapped before his turn. This year when we celebrated with my Grandma she pulled a Copie (my grandpa's nickname). She asked us to be Santa 3 times because she was ready for gifts and before everyone was in the room she was opening her gifts! It was a great night with family. We opened gifts, played nerts, and watched football. It was a short but awesome time!

Here are some highlights from Enid:

Christmas with Grandpa

A day after Christmas we traveled to Enid to have Christmas with my family. We stopped first to have Christmas with my Grandpa. We lost my Grandma 2 years ago 3 days after we celebrated Christmas. She loved Christmas and she loved having the family there. Most of the time my Grandpa still thinks she is here, which in some ways is good, because we miss her and we know that she would love to be with us.

Here are the highlights from our Christmas with my Grandpa 2011:

Barley Attacks! .... No Really!

If you are reading this blog and you have a weak stomach, I would advice you to stop reading and not look at the pictures. Now that I have warned you I will tell you about my week off. I took off the whole week last week. It was a great time to see family and for David and I to hang out, clean, and try to accomplish our "To Do List". After traveling and house sitting, we finally were home and had a great plans to update our house and organize the fire out of rooms. We had our game plan set, however we did not pencil in a dog bite. Barley is our 5 year old dog and the love of David's life. Barley was playing in the backyard and looking for cats under the shed (normal day). David went over to look at what he was doing and to try to move some things by the shed and Barley attacked. We still do not know if he thought that David was going to threaten him or get the cats, but our afternoon of plans turned into a doctors visit and 3 stitches!

Here is the bite:

It was a really deep bite. The white thing coming out of David's leg would be fat :)

The after picture.

Pray for Barley!
